This autumn’s Pentronic News is here and our lead article is loaded with informative reading about safe temperature measurement.

We focus here on Pentronic’s Pt100 thermowell with a machined welding pocket.
Model 783000 has become a real bestseller and is used for e.g. measuring the temperature of gases and liquids in the process industry.

The thermowell has an added welding pocket so you can safely mount and remove it without affecting the system itself. The pocket also helps you to avoid the risk of leakage. The insertion probe is replaceable and the terminal head has space for a signal converter or connector. The thermowell is available with two different standard lengths of the neck tube: 48 and 110 mm respectively. Other lengths can be made to order.

The welding pocket has a reduced tip for faster and more accurate measurement and is designed for small-pipe welding in dimensions up to DN 100. The standard length is 60 mm. The pocket (article: 9062050) is in stock in acidproof steel (1.4404) and unalloyed C22.8, (1.0460) also called P250GH. It has also been made in other materials e.g. alloy pressure vessel steel 10CrMo9-10 (1.7380) and we can make it in other materials if required.
The maximum temperature for a Pt100 with a welding pocket is 250 °C. This thermowell design with a welding pocket can also be custom ordered for thermocouples with a maximum temperature of 600 °C.

Pentronic presents a replacement for our customers’ previous faithful servant, the Daqpro 5300.
The HIOKI LR 8431 is a 10-channel data logger with isolated input channels, making it extra
suitable for measuring with thermocouples at high temperatures.

This super-fast and efficient unit has a graphic display and built-in battery, allowing it to
operate fully independently for several hours without being connected to a computer.

The data logger is suitable for measuring and monitoring in R&D contexts in medical and vehicle
technology and in metal manufacture. For example, it can be used in measuring temperature
consistency in furnaces and in monitoring refrigerators, freezers and storage spaces. Another example
is to use it when monitoring cold chains for vaccines.

The resulting data can easily be transferred to a computer via a memory card, USB stick or USB cable.
If you use cable, up to five units can be connected to the same computer. The built-in memory can
save approx. two million measurement readings.

New Features for High Accuracy Bench Thermometer

The milliK is a very high accuracy bench thermometer that supports Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometers, Industrial Resistance Thermometers, Thermocouples, Thermistors, and Current Transmitters. With accuracy as low as 0.003⁰C at 0⁰C, the instrument has an industry-leading performance. It has three input channels and is easily expandable.

Since the launch in 2012 there have been several software upgrades that further enhance the instrument and are available free of cost.
