Our new magazine IT’S ABOUT TEMPERATURE is here!!!
The former 8-page temperature magazine PentronicNytt has now a new format and a new name IT’S ABOUT TEMPERATURE and will be published once a year.
The new magazine have significantly more pages, filled with interesting articles about our customers, informative technical texts, facts about temperature and insight into Pentronic as an organization.

New format for the magazine Pentronic News!
Our 8-page temperature magazine, which was previously distributed four times a year, will have a new format and be published once a year.
It will be a magazine on significantly more pages that will be filled with interesting feature articles about our customers and informative technical texts – with
reading about the challenges of temperature measurement. As well as insight into Pentronic as an organization and our employees.
So keep an eye out for the new magazine IT’S ABOUT TEMPERATURE coming after the holiday season!

Updated standard for resistance thermometers
IEC 60751: 2008 has been updated. from 2022-01-31, the current edition is called IEC 60751: 2022.
The biggest changes are:
- The numerical table for the relationship between temperature and resistance is replaced by a formula
- New item “Compliance and requirement” has been added
- Tolerance acceptance test has been updated
An updated labeling system is introduced to adapt to a specific temperature range
- The method for vibration tests has been revised
- The methods for type tests have been expanded with “Cold seal”
- The numerical table is now in Annex A
The above points do not affect practical temperature measurements with resistance thermometers.
Ex-approved process sensor comes several versions
We would like to draw your attention to Pentronic’s temperature sensor 7610900. This Pt100 sensor comes in an flameproof Ex d (ATEX/IECEx) version for measuring the temperatures of gases and liquids in the process industry.
The process sensor, which has a terminal head and neck, can also now be ordered with a Ø3 mm diameter insert in addition to the existing
Ø6 mm one. A 3 mm sensor has a shorter response time and fits inside faster and thinner thermowells.The new version is third-party approved and has also been revised to comply with the updated standards of both ATEX and IECEx.
Pentronic’s Ex-classified Ex d sensor is approved for gas environments in the petrochemical industry.
However, there are also other environments containing gases that can ignite and explode and where corresponding safety measures are justified.
Examples include lacquering enterprises and processes handling medicines and chemicals. A need for Ex-classified temperature sensors can
also arise in environments where there is both gas and dust which create an explosion risk.
