    Pentronic News 2021-4

In this issue you can read about one of many promising initiatives which can help us come closer to the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement – the firm of Absolicon in the Swedish city of Härnösand is investing heavily in producing heat with the help of the sun, and this autumn officially opened Sweden’s largest installation for concentrated solar energy.

The holidays are fast approaching, and in this “Christmas” issue of Pentronic News you will find, among much else, advice on what to do to get the optimum taste from a piece of cheese on the Christmas dinner table – of course, it’s all to do with temperature!

Product information: Uppdated gauge from NDC – The PrediktIR ll

    Part number 09-00076

Pentronic presents the next-generation NIR gauge for optimised product quality and improved process monitoring.
The gauge replaces previous moisture gauges from NDC Technologies.

Unlike NDC’s multi-component Series 9 (previously presented in Pentronic News 21-1), the PrediktIR II measures only moisture content.
It is uniquely designed for the process measurement of moisture in materials such as wood chips, biomass, wood pellets, clay powder and sinter mix.

The PrediktIR II gives high measurement accuracy when measuring in all environments, independent of changes in ambient conditions such as lighting,
temperature or humidity. Offering the option of 24/7 connectivity that does not require manual sampling, the PrediktIR II gives both
    improved yield and energy savings.

The instrument has a versatile process connection which is easily integrated into an existingcontrol system.
The new display that comes with the instrument has a newly updated interface.

Product information: Ensuring the safe temperature of sensitive-product cold chain

    Handhållet termoelement artikel 11-00710

Pentronic’s 11-00710 sensor is a hand-held thermocouple which is used to monitor
the cold chain of temperature-sensitive products. The sensor’s construction makes
it possible to access and measure the temperature between packagings in order to
ensure that the products are stored in optimal conditions during both transport and
    storage.

The sensor is suitable for monitoring the cold chain of e.g. food and medicines.
For example, it can be used to monitor the transport and storage of vaccines. A cold chain
is characterised by temperatures below room temperature. This sensor measures temperatures
down to -80 °C. It is available as a type K and also as a type T with higher accuracy.
Pentronic can customise and design sensors for special needs – so don’t hesitate to
contact us if you require a specific solutionfor your particular cold chain.

    Pentronic News 2021-3

This autumn’s Pentronic News is here and our lead article is loaded with informative reading about safe temperature measurement.

In it you can read about how to improve the safety of workplaces, industrial premises, production processes and product quality using temperature measurement and special sensors.

We also offer product information, including about sensors which ensure the safe temperature of product cold chains. And in our technical article you will find advice on sensor installations and the use of sheathed thermocouples.

We are now confidently looking forward to an autumn when we can begin meeting again and visiting our customers at their facilities. Read more about our ideas and plans for the autumn in the article “Pentronic after the pandemic”.

With this we wish you happy reading and a wonderful autumn!

Product information: Ensure your process with a bestseller from Pentronic

We focus here on Pentronic’s Pt100 thermowell with a machined welding pocket.
Model 783000 has become a real bestseller and is used for e.g. measuring the temperature of gases and liquids in the process industry.

The thermowell has an added welding pocket so you can safely mount and remove it without affecting the system itself. The pocket also helps you to avoid the risk of leakage. The insertion probe is replaceable and the terminal head has space for a signal converter or connector. The thermowell is available with two different standard lengths of the neck tube: 48 and 110 mm respectively. Other lengths can be made to order.

The welding pocket has a reduced tip for faster and more accurate measurement and is designed for small-pipe welding in dimensions up to DN 100. The standard length is 60 mm. The pocket (article: 9062050) is in stock in acidproof steel (1.4404) and unalloyed C22.8, (1.0460) also called P250GH. It has also been made in other materials e.g. alloy pressure vessel steel 10CrMo9-10 (1.7380) and we can make it in other materials if required.
The maximum temperature for a Pt100 with a welding pocket is 250 °C. This thermowell design with a welding pocket can also be custom ordered for thermocouples with a maximum temperature of 600 °C.
You are welcome to contact Pentronic if you have questions or need advice for your particular application.
