The products are found in our product listing.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pentronic.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/eesf-19-atex-027x-issue-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EU-type examination certificate<\/a>\n\t<h3>Information about SIL-approvals<\/h3>\n<p>Temperature sensors per se are not covered by SIL<\/p>\nThis means that the temperature sensor cannot be independently certified according to SIL (Safety Integrity Level).<br \/>\nAn assessment of the SIL level is only possible if the temperature sensor is connected to a transmitter.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pentronic.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/sil-och-temperaturgivare-3-2-en.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Read more &#8230;<\/a>\n\t<h3>Information about EHEDG<\/h3>\n<p>In 2005, a number of Pentronic&#8217;s temperature sensor constructions were tested and approved by DTU (Danish Technological Institute) according to the requirements of EHEDG (European Hygienic Engineering &amp; Design Group). The approval meant that the sensor construction is considered to be well-suited for mounting in pipes and tanks where so-called CIP (Cleaning In Place, normally when handling liquid food) is carried out. When cleaning the process equipment, the temperature sensor does not have to be dismantled and cleaned separately. As of March 1, 2018, EHEDG&#8217;s guidelines do not allow seals that involve &#8220;metal to metal&#8221;. Since said sensor designs are according to the principle &#8220;metal to metal&#8221; they can no longer be certified against EHEDG&#8217;s guidelines. However, the well-proven performance and function of the designs are the same as before.<\/p>\n<p>The above applies to Pt100 temperature sensors in the series 7913101, 7914101, 7960001, PAT1101 and PLT1101 when mounted in the 9025001 series.<\/p>\n\t<h2>Pentronic has the following branch approvals:<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pentronic.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/kraftverk.jpg\" alt=\"kraftverk\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"200\" width=\"200\" title=\"kraftverk\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pentronic.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/achilles_logo-300x277.png\" alt=\"Achilles_Logo\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"277\" width=\"300\" title=\"Achilles_Logo\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\n\t<h3>Nuclear Power<\/h3>\n<p>Pentronic manufactures temperature sensors for the nuclear power industry that makes its own certifications of their suppliers.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover Pentronic has been inspected and certified by well-known international suppliers of nuclear power industry.<\/p>\n\t<h3>Nordic power generation<\/h3>\n<p>Pentronic is pre-qualified as supplier to Nordic power generation industry.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2  id=\"reachrohs\">\n\t\t\tREACH and RoHS\t<\/h2>\n\t<h3>REACH<\/h3>\n<p>Pentronic AB does neither manufacture nor import chemical substances. Pentronic AB is well aware of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the requirements of EG-EEC 2006: 1907 REACH<\/li>\n<li>the list of candidates<\/li>\n<li>our obligations concerning safety data sheets as well as informing customers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\t<h3>RoHS<\/h3>\n<p>Pentronic&#8217;s aim is to minimize the occurrance of harmful substances. The RoHS directive, EU 2015\/863, is fulfilled for products like cables, Pentronic-produced temperature sensors as well as electronics. Imported products are continuously replaced by RoHS suited ones as fast as such products are available.<\/p>\n<h2  id=\"finalinspection\">\n\t\t\tFinal inspection before delivery\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>Quality assurance of product<\/p>\n<p>All temperature sensors manufactured at Pentronic are checked before delivery.<\/p>\n<p>The individual test results for the temperature sensors are\u00a0reported in a test certificate according to the EN 10204 3.1 standard. The serial number of the label attached to the individual sensor shows that the sensor has passed the test.<\/p>\n<h3>Tracability<\/h3>\nAt the delivery test equipments are used whose properties are traceable to<br \/>\nPentronic&#8217;s accredited laboratory. The testing procedures are elaborated by the staff of the accredited laboratory.\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pentronic.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/PEN_L5Q0823-1280x1120.jpg\" alt=\"Kalibrering\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"1120\" width=\"1280\" title=\"Kalibrering\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\n\t<h3>The delivery test contains five operations<\/h3>\n1: Visual inspection<br \/>\n2: Physical dimensions<br \/>\n3: Measurement of output signall<br \/>\n4: Isolation test<br \/>\n5: Marking and numbering\n<h3>Test certificate<\/h3>\n<p>All test certificates are electronically archived by Pentronic. Traceability is ensured by connecting the test result to the product&#8217;s serial number.<\/p>\n<h3>Customized control routines<\/h3>\n<p>We offer calibration, testing and labeling adapted to the customer&#8217;s wishes or the product&#8217;s properties if it&#8217;s required.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pentronic.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/etiketter.jpg\" alt=\"Labels with serial number are attached \nto sensors individually. If required other types of labelling are available.\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"1960\" width=\"3008\" title=\"etiketter\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\n<h3>\n\t\t\tInspection of Pt100-sensors (RTDs)\t<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pentronic.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/p1-04-680x1024.jpg\" alt=\"P1 04\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"1024\" width=\"680\" title=\"P1 04\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\n\t<h3>Output signal<\/h3>\n<p>Pt100 sensors are tested in 0 \u00b0C without outer protection tube. The result shall very well fit within the requirements, e. g. \u00b1 0,15 \u00b0C as per IEC 60751 class A.<\/p>\n<h3>Electric isolation<\/h3>\n<p>Pentronic checks the isolation inbetween 0 C and room temperature, normally by applying 500 VDC requiring at least 1000 Mohms resistance.<\/p>\n<p>IEC 60751 requires at room temperature only 10 &#8211; 100 VDC and at least 100 Mohms resistance. It should be pointed out that the isolation resistance decreases with increasing probe temperature.<\/p>\n<h3>\n\t\t\tInspection of thermocouples\t<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pentronic.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/P2-12-1280x867.jpg\" alt=\"P2 12\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"867\" width=\"1280\" title=\"P2 12\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\n\t<h3>Output signal<\/h3>\n<p>Thermocouples are measured at 100 \u00b0C with the &#8220;cold junction&#8221; at 0 \u00b0C. The output signal is normally compared to the standard IEC 60584-1 class 1. For thermocouple types K and N this means a tolerance of \u00b1 1,5 \u00b0C at 100 \u00b0C.<\/p>\n<h3>Electric isolation<\/h3>\n<p>The isolation test, when applicable, is performed in room temperature and is suited to the sheath diameter, D, of the thermocouple. See table below. Pentronic&#8217;s isolation test normally fulfills the demands of the IEC 61515.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements of isolation are also specified by the ASTM E608 (2000) but this standard uses lower voltages and requires lower resistances. It should be pointed out that the insulation resistance decreases with increasing temperature.<\/p>\n\t<h3>Accredited calibration of temperature sensors<\/h3>\n<p>As a supplement Pentronic offers accredited calibration before deliver. The sensors will be delivered with a formal Accredited calibration Certificate where the traceability to the temperature scale is guarenteed.<\/p>\n<h3>Accredited calibration of instruments<\/h3>\n<p>On request instruments can be delivered including a calibration certificate from the Accredited Laboratory of Pentronic.<\/p>\n<h3>System calibration<\/h3>\n<p>We recommend so called system calibration where the instrument is connected to one or more temperature sensors.
